The city of Warfang has once again been saved by Spyro! Sparx shouts out to a crowd of dragons.
While the dragons listen to the dragonflys story, Spyro watches over the city, as the sun beats down on the purple dragons scales. As Spyro thinks about what happen only just yesterday, he starts to realise how different things are. Most of the dragons he looks at are either smiling or laughing. However among those joyous faces, he notices a number of dragons who are upset.
Its at that point Spyro recognizes whats wrong. Even though Warfang has been saved, some of the dragons have lost their loved ones in the battle. As that thought sinks deep into Spyro, he begins to grow sad slightly. Suddenly he hears a voice next to him: Why the long face Spyro?
Spyro at that moment quickly turns to his side and notices Prowlus standing beside him. At that moment the purple dragon explains to the cheetah: Prowlus
just yesterday, some of those dragons had ones they loved, ones they cared about
and now
theyve lost them.
At that point, the cheetah sits down and reminds Spyro about something: We all have lost someone because of what Malefor did to this realm. What happened yesterday was just after effects that would happen if Malefor failed. As the news of Malefors defeat spread, our enemies know it was the perfect time to try and reclaim the Dragon Realms for themselves.
Youre right. First it was the shadow dragoness, then the wolves.
And just to think that the wolves, even some of the dragons were been controlled by that enemy you and Cynder fought.
Yeah
As the two go quiet, Prowlus leans over to the purple dragon and tells him: Spyro
if none of these dragons helped yesterday, Warfang would have been destroyed. We would have lost our chance to re-build the Dragon Realms.
But it still doesnt change the sadness of some of the dragons here, just like it was with you, when I came here the first time.
That is true Spyro, but knowing that some of my friends died, to help save this realm makes me understand something. If those cheetahs didnt help me, would we have been able to keep Warfang save? Would your goal to save the Dragon Realms be in vain, if those cheetahs didnt help? Spyro
if they didnt help us, we may have lost our lives. And what would have been worst, is if those deaths were going to be for nothing.
As Spyro thinks about what Prowlus has said, the cheetah adds: Spyro
what would have happened if Ignitus didnt risk his life to help you and Cynder get to Malefor?
We would have been unable to stop Malefor
Prowlus, I know what you are saying, but its just not fair on those dragons who have lost the ones they love.
Yes Spyro that is true. But life isnt always fair. If Malefor used his abilities for the good, it would have help restore the Dragon Realms back to normal. But he chose a different path Spyro.
At that point the cheetah stands up and finally tells Spyro: Malefor was the reason I lost my trust with you dragons
and I hope the reason I begin to trust them again is because of you. Dont let these dragons down Spyro. You have seen the effects of what Malefor did
if you truly care about us all; make sure you learn how to use your abilities correctly.
Its then the cheetah starts to walk away. As he does, Spyro shouts back: Prowlus! I havent thanked you for helping us!
Prowlus just grins and replies back: Thats because I dont deserve you thanks
farewell Spyro!
As Spyro smiles back, Prowlus continues to walk away, readying his journey back to Alavar. While Spyro watches Prowlus walk away, he hears a voice comes from behind him: You can certainly pick them, cant you hatchling?
At that point, Spyro turns and see Flamzen. As that happens, Spyro responds back: Well you cant blame for not trusting us.
Funny
from where I was standing, he seems to have a lot of trust in you.
As Spyro nods slightly, Flamzen continues to tell the purple dragon: The Guardians want to see you in the ruins. They said they had some urgent news. Follow me.
Spyro at that moment begins to follow Flamzen to meet up with the Guardians. As this happens, Cynder and Shimmara are in the ruins. While the two chat among themselves, Cynder next enquires: Shimmara
sorry Mom, can I ask you something?
Sure, whats on your mind?
Cynder at that point gazes at her mother and softly asks: Why did you choose me?
As Shimmaras face shows that she is confused by what Cynder has asked, the black dragoness explains: Frost told me that you chose me over Flamzen
did you do that because you felt bad, about what you did to me in the past?
While Shimmara closes her eyes, she tells Cynder: On that one day I failed to make the right choice and because of it, I lived a life which was just a lie.
When Shimmara opens her eyes again, she continues: When I saw you and Flamzen, that same scene I saw many years ago came back to me. It was then; I realised what I did. When I chose my mate over you, I made a choice that would benefit me. In the end, I lost him, as well as you. But I also lost something else.
And what was that?
I lost the chance to stop many other dragons from getting hurt. When Malefors army changed you, I remember hearing the stories about you and about what you did.
As Shimmara begins to angry with herself, she firmly goes on to say: And when I think about what I did to you, I knew what I did was completely unacceptable. And the only way I could deal with it was to try and forget it
but it happened again. I had to choose you or Flamzen, and it was bad enough that I hurt you the first time! But if I made the same mistake again, who knows how many more dragons I wouldve allowed to suffer because of my mistake!
When Shimmara finishes, she looks away from Cynder, as the frustration of her mistakes come back to her mind. Cynder however begins to feel sorry for Shimmara, which causes the black dragoness to say: So you chose me because
you thought it was the right choice for everyone, except yourself?
Shimmara at that point looks back at her daughter and explains: Cynder, how could Spyro have entered the Dark Realm without your help? He needed you to get inside. If I wasnt there when you were being attacked by those elemental dragons, those dragons may have killed you, or slowed you down before you could reach the portal in time. Cynder I had to save you, even though I knew it could have made Emerain upset if Flamzen had died, I knew that if I didnt save you, I would never be able to gain your trust.
Mom...
As the two go into silence, Frostus comes in and notices the silence. Its then the ice dragon nervously asks: Sorry, I havent disturbed you at the wrong time, have I?
Cynder next informs to the ice dragon: No Frost. We were just talking about something upsetting.
I see
well the Guardians have asked you Cynder. Ill just tell them youre busy-
No Frost, Ill come. I will be with you in a few seconds.
As Frostus nods, he proceeds to walk away, to a distance so that he wont be disturbing the two dragonesses. When Frostus is out of the way, Cynder softly tells her mother: Maybe you should talk to Flamzen.
Shimmara just nods at what Cynder has said, unsure how to answer back. However as Cynder heads towards Frostus, she quickly tells Shimmara: Hell understand Mom
trust me.
As Cynder continues to follow Frostus to the Guardians, Shimmara just smiles back, wondering if Cynder is right about Flamzen.
Meanwhile, the Guardians wait for both Spyro and Cynder to come into the spacious room inside the ruins. As they wait, they talk among themselves about what Spyro and Cynder have told them about Corruption. But as time passes, Spyro, Cynder, Flamzen and Frostus enter the room. As they do, Terrador tells Flamzen and Frostus: Thank you for getting Spyro and Cynder to come. Frostus, we have explained to Flamzen our next course of action. He will explain to you what you will need to be doing starting tomorrow.
Frostus at that point, proceeds to nod his head, but as he does Flamzen enquires about a certain matter: Terrador, I have to ask, what about Verdant Pastures hatchlings? Whos going to go back and find them?
When Terrador hears Flamzens concern, the earth dragon explains: We have been informed that some in Shimmaras group know a place where they hid the hatchlings, along with a few dragons, if they were ever under attack. You dont need to worry about that, we have send aid to help these dragons.
Thats good to know. We will take our leave now.
When Flamzen finishes, the fire dragon and Frostus head out together. As they do Frostus softly tells the fire dragon: Hey Flamzen, I didnt really thank you for the claws, did I?
No not really
though I can understand why you reacted the way you did
As the two voices slowly fades away, Spyro and Cynder look at the Guardians, waiting for the news they need to hear. Its at that point Cyril tells the two young dragons: Well its been a few strange weeks, hasnt it?
While Cynder proceeds to smile, Spyro softly replies back: Yeah first that shadow dragoness, then finding Flamzen-
And Frost! Cynder quickly adds.
Yes and finding Frostus too. But that fight against Corruption
how did all of this happen so fast?
Terrador at that point goes on to say: When Malefor was defeated, our enemies knew it was the best time to attack and to try and make the Dragon Realms into something which they could control. However because we acted fast, not only did we unite some of the dragons back together again, but we also found out all the information we needed to fight against this threat. And of course, you two were the ones that helped the most in this matter.
As Spyro and Cynder accept the compliment from the Guardians, Spyro replies back: Terrador we wouldnt have been able to stop Corruption if it wasnt for you using that crystal.
Spyro I think we both helped each other. If you didnt destroy that crystal, the corruption may have spread even further and we wouldnt have been able to use the crystal against the corruption, when it was crystallized.
As the dragons smile back at each other, Cynder proceeds to ask: So whats the plan now?
As the Guardians look at each other, Terrador explains to the two dragons: We have decided our next move is to focus on building the Dragon Temple, now that this threat has disappeared.
Spyro however realises something and enquires: And what about Warfang? Its was ruined before this threat came about. And now its badly damaged in places.
Cyril at that moment goes on to say: That is some keen observation from you Spyro. We are aware of these and we want to help Warfang as well.
When Cynder hears what Cyril has said, she jumps in hastily saying: But we cant just leave it like this! The moles have helped us many times before!
As Terrador hears Cynder, he recognizes that Spyro and Cynder havent got the point, which causes him to respond back: Cynder we want to help the moles and we have thought of a plan on how we can help. We have decided that Flamzen and Cyril will stay here, along with some of the dragons to help repair Warfang. As this is happening, the rest of us Guardians are going to plan on re-building the temple.
Cyril then follows on: I have decided to stay here because the Guardians wish to see if Flamzen can become the next Fire Guardian.
As Spyro and Cynder look at each other, Spyro quickly asks: But didnt Flamzen prove himself yesterday in battle?
Its true that Terrador was impressed by his combat skills, even though I told him that before. However to become a great Guardian like myself, you have to prove that you are good at planning, organising, and solving matters.
As Cyril finishes, Volteer continues: Yes unravelling inconveniences is very imperative. If Flamzen demonstrates his aptitudes in a virtuous manner, he will befit the requirements compulsory to becoming the Fire Guardian.
Galeson however adds something else needed: But we will need to build the Pool of Vision. If we dont have that, Flamzen cant become the Fire Guardian.
As Spyro and Cynder hear what the Guardians have to say, Spyro replies back: So you are going to test Flamzen here in Warfang, while building the Dragon Temple elsewhere?
Terrador nods and clarifies the matter: I searched out where the Dragon Temple was originally and it appears that the volcanoes in that area have calmed down, now that Malefor has been sealed. It wont be long more the vegetation will grow again, so it will be an ideal spot to train the young hatchlings, once the Dragon Temple is re-built.
But what about us, will we be helping you or Flamzen? Cynder hastily enquires.
Cynder you will need to stay with Frostus, as he trains you. But Frostus has said hes willing to stay and assist Flamzen, which means you will be staying here.
And
what about Spyro, where will he go?
Terrador at that moment smiles and tells the purple dragon: Spyro its hasnt even been a month, since you and Cynder came out of that crystal. The Guardians have seen what you have done Spyro, and weve also notice what Cynder has done as well. And we have decided that Spyro will go where he wishes. However Spyro, if you wish to stay here or come with us, we would like to ask you to stay within a nearby area, just in case something happens again.
As Spyro hears the news, he asks: So
all you want me to do is to choose whether to stay here or go with you?
Thats all
Spyro you have done so much in just a small space of time. We Guardians know you have done so much for us lately, but at the same time, we never seem to reward you. So thats why we have asked you what you want.
When Spyro finishes listening to Terrador, he briefly looks at Cynder, who has a smile on her face. As he turns back to look at Terrador, Spyro replies back: I think you know what Im going to say.
As the Guardians nod in unison, Cyril tells Spyro: So you want to stay here and learn from the best? Well you have to admit, hes made a good choice.
While Terrador and Galeson just ignore the Ice Guardian, Volteer snaps back: Cyril hes residing in Warfang to espouse Cynder, not you!
While Spyro and Cynder start to blush slightly, Galeson notices the two dragons reactions and clarifies Volteers wording: He said espouse, as in support, not spouse, meaning a mate.
When the two dragons hear Galesons comment, the two dragons blush a brighter red than before. While the two are unsure what to say or do, Terrador tries to get back on track by saying: Galeson didnt you have something to say to Spyro and Cynder about the crystal the cheetahs had found?
Its then Galeson suddenly remembers what Terrador is talking about. While he gazes at Spyro and Cynder, he goes on to say: Yes that crystal! Spyro I managed to have a look inside the crystal to see what information it held.
The moment the two young dragons hear this, they swiftly look at each other with excitement, wondering what could be inside that crystal. Spyro next asks the Wind Guardian: So what did you find out?
Well it showed me how Malefor was sealed and how you managed to escape from getting destroyed.
As the two hear the wind dragons words, they unexpectedly shout in unison: So how did we escape?!
Wow you two are eager. Anyway
it appears after you defeated Malefor, the spirit dragons came and sealed Malefor away. By doing this, it would explain why some of the earth is still floating above where the old Dragon Temple used to be. It appears these dragons changed the role from binding the earth together, to binding Malefor inside that crystal.
While Spyro listens to Galeson, the purple dragon begins to understand what Ignitus was trying to say to him, after he defeated Malefor. All this time Spyro had thought that he had to die to save the world. However as he dwells on the words Ignitus had told him, he realises the words had another meaning to them. These spirit dragons that were meant to bind the earth together, decided to bind Malefor instead, knowing that if they were to seal Malefor, the world could be remade once again.
When Spyro realises this, he next enquires to Galeson: But what about us? How did we escape?
Well this is really strange. It appears that you were using your powers to draw the world back together again. But as you were doing that, the area started to become brighter. I then heard Cynder say that she loved you and as she held herself onto you Spyro, you next confessed your love for her. It was at that moment, you appeared in Twilight Falls.
While Spyro and Cynder gaze at each other, Spyro goes on to say: But
I dont remember moving, or doing anything, except for pulling the world back together again.
Spyro this is what this crystal saw
but youre right, it is weird.
So how did I do that? Its just not possible to move from one place to another like that.
Cynder however reminds Spyro about something: But Spyro, what about when we were fighting Malefor? Dont you remember Spyro
he used a similar ability to move himself, as we fought against him.
When Spyro hears Cynders words, he quickly remembers that Cynder is right and answers: Yeah, he did do that
but how did I
wait, I mustve used Dragon Time. But I lost that ability to save you and Sparx.
Well maybe you are starting to learn it again
Spyro I know that doesnt sound right, but how else could you have escaped?
Terrador at that point steps in and explains: Spyro youre the purple dragon. For a dragon like yourself to master elements which no other dragon can use, you need to learn the five basic elemental powers.
But Ive only learnt four of those powers.
Yes, that is true, but what about the dragoness to the right of you?
As Spyro glances at Cynder, he comprehends what the earth dragon is trying to say: Wait you think I
used Cynder to get us out of there?
Its possible. But Spyro if you want to know how you escaped for certainty, maybe if you learned the last elemental power, you could understand how your powers work, which could help you to understand what you did.
Galeson at that moment follows on: Spyro I can could train the last elemental power for you. All you have to do is ask.
While Spyro thinks about what the Guardians have said, even though the temptation to learn the last elemental power is strong in the purple dragon, Spyro proceeds to answer the Guardians: No
not right now.
As the Guardians become a little shocked, Cyril asks: But you could be a great dragon like me!
Volteer then follows on by saying to the purple dragon: Imagine the countless capacities you could utilize to ameliorate the Dragon Realms!
Spyro however sees things differently and explains: Yes I would like to become a dragon that others look up too. But Malefor was the same at one time. He wanted to learn as much as possible, but in the end, he started to use powers which werent meant to be used.
While the Guardians listen to Spyro, he continues: I dont want to make the same mistake. I want to help the Dragon Realms, but if I keep learning all these powers, but never learn how to trust others, wouldnt I just become like Malefor?
The purple dragon next gazes at Cynder and tells her: Cynder
I may not truly know what happened to us on that day we stopped Malefor. But I know that you have helped me so many times before. And if its true that somehow I used you to escape, then maybe it would be better to learn to rely on you. At least this way, if I was to learn some new powers with your help, I know that if I was to abuse them, it would mean that I would lose you, as well as those powers.
While Cynders heart starts to beat faster, Spyro turns to the Guardians and tells them: Thats why I dont want to learn the last elemental power, at least right now.
As the Guardians think about what Spyro has said, they begin to smile as they realise what Spyro is saying sounds sensible. However Galeson just replies back: Well I see your logic
but if you do want to learn the wind ability, youll know where to find me.
As Spyro and Cynder nod, Terrador tells the two young dragons: I think thats everything cleared up for now. Thank you for time. May the Ancestors look after you two.
At that moment Spyro and Cynder take their leave and start to head back to the entrance of the ruins. As they do, Cynder glances at Spyro for a moment and as the dragoness continues to blush, she then unexpectedly licks Spyro on his cheek. Its at that moment Spyro looks back at Cynder and asks: What was that for?
For saying that Im useful and that you want to rely on me.
As the two dragons begin to smile at each other, Spyro next remembers something he wanted to tell the black dragoness: Cynder?
Yes Spyro?
I said I wanted to tell you something after the battle was over
and
well the battle is over.
As Spyro and Cynder look at each longingly, Spyro is about to tell Cynder whats on his mind, when suddenly the two hear a loud voice: Hey Spyro where have you been?! The dragons want to see you!
As the two dragons notice Sparx coming towards them, Spyro whispers to Cynder: I dont get it; I didnt even say his name.
While Cynder laughs silently, Sparx hastily tells them: Cmon Spyro, you cant keep the dragons waiting; they need to know who their hero is.
Whilst Sparx pulls onto Spyros horn, the purple dragon quickly asks Cynder: Hey Cynder, are you coming with us?
As Cynder smiles back at Spyro, she swiftly follows Spyro and Sparx and heads outside to meet with the dragons. When the two get outside, they begin to see some of the dragons are waiting for Spyro. While the dragons start to get excited, the dragons hastily ask Spyro: Hey Spyro what was in like in the Dark Realm?
I heard that the dragon inside wasnt Malefor, is that true?
How did you manage to get back out? I heard the portal had closed!
While the dragons continue to ask questions, Frostus is a part of the crowd and shouts out: You know Spyro can only answer question at a time.
While the crowd goes quieter, the ice dragon moves through the crowd, wearing the medal, that Spyro has made, around his horn. When the ice dragon approaches the purple dragon, he puts the medal around Spyros neck and whispers: You left this behind
I thought this would be important to save.
Thanks Frostus. I thought this was destroyed.
Well at least now you can give Cynder her gift.
As Spyro stares at Frostus, he quietly enquires: How did you know it was for Cynder?
Im a Reflector Spyro. We dont just see whats in front of us
we also see the things that are hidden out of sight.
When Spyro hear Frostus words, he knows what the ice dragon is talking about and replies back: Thanks for returning this medal.
While Frostus proceeds to walk away, he quickly glances at Cynder and smiles at her, which causes Cynder to wonder what the ice dragon may know. As the crowd of dragons continues to ask Spyro many questions, the dragoness decides it may be best to get out of the way. But as she does, a dragon shouts: Hey Cynder where you going?
Suddenly Cynder looks at the dragon and replies back: Well I thought you wanted to ask Spyro some questions.
Its then another dragon responds back: But werent you with Spyro when you entered the Dark Realm?
Cynder next hears another dragon say: Yeah and how did you manage to escape those elemental dragons?
As Spyro and Cynder hear the questions, they realise that this crowd isnt just for Spyro, but its for Cynder as well. When the two realise this, they both realise what they need to do. Its then Spyro tells the crowd: I think it may be a wise if me and Cynder tell you what we saw. Besides, there are some questions which I want to be answered. And I think both Cynder and everyone here can help me answer them.
Spyro next relates to the crowd about what he saw. But as Spyro does so, Cynder continues to look at the medal hanging around Spyros neck, wondering why Frostus has given him that medal.
